At the end of our family’s second mission trip to Honduras, my thoughts drift back to what has taken place over the last several days here. So many new sights, smells and tastes but just as many familiar faces and places that we look forward to. The best part of our trips is reuniting with the people of the village while sharing hugs and handshakes. These beautiful people are so welcoming and hospitable to our entire team. Each village resident, in their own way, show their appreciation for our presence. As we lighten their days, I too personally have been touched, yet again, by the children’s love and connection toward us as they hang our every word as well as our hands. My prayer is that each and every person I have physically touched will continue to feel the love I have for them and that their spirit will be affected in a positive way forever, year after year. Yes, we will most certainly return to visit our new brothers and sisters as soon as possible so that we can build the bonds already created. As for our two twin boys that we have become foster parents of, Angel and Wilmer, I hope and pray that my family can show them our love from across the Gulf of Mexico until we see them again on our next visit to Honduras. The memories created throughout our first two trips will give us continued joy while we are apart for another year as we remember each smiling face and name. I would encourage anyone to come visit our friends of Honduras so they too can experience the life changing power of Christ’s loving example. You will never be the same…neither will the people you touch.

The Kistler Family, Trey
